Totally Accurate Battlegrounds: Fixing Wrong Version Error
Totally Accurate Battlegrounds is, without doubt, one of the most hilarious battle royale games out there. Everything, from the graphics to the game mechanics screams of mad fun that comes from a game that doesn’t really care how it looks or how it plays. We would expect any better of a game that started off as an April Fools buff only to get serious when people showed interest in it.
The developers, Landfall, have finally changed mind and decided to roll out patches, keep servers running optimally and fix bugs all at a little cost of $4.5 per title.
We have done a roundup of some of the most common bugs so far with tips on how to fix them.
How to Fix Wrong Version Error
There is a ton of patches out there thanks to Landfall’s frantic efforts to keep the game working and satisfy the growing fan base. Chances are that you are running an outdated version of the game regardless of whether you have auto update on or not.
Totally Accurate Battlegrounds updates will not apply correctly if you don’t manually restart steam. This will not only let Steam counter-check game version when it restarts but also fix other server connection errors or general game lag.
Fixing Matchmaking Errors
The above fix will more often than not fix matchmaking errors automatically. If it doesn’t you can force Totally Accurate Backgrounds to check file integrities and redownload any damaged files.
To do this, right click on the game in your Steam Library, select Properties, go to Local Files and check Verify Integrity of Game Files. Restart Steam after this and enjoy your game.
