Stardew Valley Winter Seeds – Where to Find Them & How to Grow
Winter is coming, and you need to be prepared. No one knows this better than a famer, even a virtual farmer playing Stardew Walley. Winter seeds are the only thing you can cultivate outdoors during the winter.
Your foraging skills will improve your chances of growing high quality crop from your winter seeds. Couple this with the fact that you don’t have to worry about crows and scarecrows and you get a relatively easy cultivation as long as you have the right Stardew Valley winter seeds.
It doesn’t matter what seed you plant. The produce will be random. The seeds take around 7 days to grow and will produce Snow Yam, Crocus, Crystal Fruit or Winter Root.
How to Obtain Winter Seeds
To obtain winter seeds, you will have to do one of the following
- Craft the seeds using recipes. A single recipe produces around 10 winter seeds
- Placing a winter root in the seed maker to yield 1-3 seeds
- Completing the Winter Foraging Bundle at the Crafts Room to earn 30 winter seeds
- Purchasing a Traveling Cart
Generally, you won’t spend so much time tending after your winter crop. The seeds are meant to hardy and can hold their own against most problems.
However, you will still have to water them even during the snowy days to get a better crop. Getting the seeds might be problematic but taking care of them is relatively easy. If you don’t want to sit the whole winter, you can simply use Stardew Valley cheat table or a trainer to hasten up the days and be done with the winter farming.
