Red Dead Redemption 2 to Update: A Deeper Storyline and More Scenery
If you recall the excitement here at Ares Games the moment Rockstar Games painted its social media and website red, you’ll understand why we were so keen on the Red Dead Redemption 2 reveal trailer and why the latest insight into the upcoming title by Take-Two CEO, Straus Zelnick are so important to us.
Zelnick was speaking at an MKM Partner event and revealed that the gaming community enthusiasm over the game is pleasing but not shocking. He believes that the world still needs a swaggering old west hero gang and Red Dead Redemption 2 will be a success, just as Red Dead Redemption was back in 2010.
“The conventional wisdom was of course that a western wouldn’t work,” Zelnick said about the first game. “We took a different point of view, which is that very occasionally westerns capture the imagination of the public. When we launched Red Dead, it did. And those times were right for that. And I think the times are right for a big, sprawling, optimistic view of America again–and that’s not meant to be cute.”
Red Redemption 2 Will Have a Deeper Storyline
Zelnick also revealed that the title will give a deeper emotional story entwined with the explosive old west action we’ve all come to love.
Red Dead Redemption 2 also promises a form of online mode. There is little detail on this but we hope that we will have more information by the fall of 2017 when the game is expected to hit your PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
